Summary from the buyer
This Invitation to Tender (ITT) is issued by NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services (hosted by Velindre NHS Trust) ("NWSSP") on behalf of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board ("the Health Board"), which will enter into the Agreement with the successful supplier. Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking to appoint a single specialist contractor to provide the inspection, testing, preventative maintenance and reactive support of Low Voltage (LV) switchgear across Health Board premises located within Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil. The scope of the contract includes the maintenance of critical electrical distribution infrastructure, including but not limited to Air Circuit Breakers (ACBs), Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs), switch-fuses and associated LV switchgear assets. The services are required to support the safe, reliable and compliant operation of the Health Board's electrical distribution systems, helping to minimise the risk of electrical failure, fire, disruption to clinical services and impacts on patient care. Suppliers are invited to submit a tender under the Open Procedure in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023. The procurement process will result in the award of a single-supplier contract ("the Agreement"). The services will be carried out at properties situated within the geographical areas of Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil. We particularly welcome responses from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
